New spaces for measured growth
How to respond to the need to expand productive facilities in a short period of time? By reorganising spaces already in use, for example. First step: a vertical warehouse.
Our payoff tells our story in a rapid-fire slogan, “made to feed your soul”. But how many souls are there to feed among our clients? Many, and more each day. This permits us to refer to Doimo Cucine as a brand given to experimentation: we search for proposals to offer personalised responses to the widest range of requests. In doing so, we think above all about original solutions and materials, for example C4K, Carbon for Kitchen, our exclusive carbon fibre kitchen, or our collaboration with students of Industrial Design at the Accademia Italiana di Roma.
Today, however, we refer to an internal challenge, very real and with a demanding timeframe. We needed new productive facilities. Right away. The winning idea? Reorganisation! One of the tactics we adopted was to create a vertical warehouse for medium-small sized products, such as hardware, off the shelf parts, lighting components and small items in general.
This multi-tower is managed by an onboard computer, running stock identification, mapping, visualisation and collection software. Among its many advantages, the first is certainly that of having freed up 240 square metres, which we converted into a new work space to improve movements and increase productivity. Additionally, the vertical layout of the warehouse allows us:
- to take maximum advantage of horizontal and vertical space
- accurate identification, safety and traceability of stocked product
- elevated operative ergonomics that provides greater safety and comfort for everyone
- a notable reduction in the risk of errors during part selection by operators
- unprecedented continuity and flexibility of operations
