Drawers in kitchen base cabinets can be visible or concealed behind the fronts of deep drawers. For example, a deep drawer below the cooktop is a handy solution for storing pots and pans with an internal drawer for ladles and similar utensils required while cooking.

Taller drawers, those that generally occupy half the height of a base cabinet, are known as “deep drawers” and are designed to support heavier loads. Invaluable for storing things in an orderly fashion, the most popular options include deep drawers below the sink, the ideal position for separate recycling and waste bins.
